My daily journal

                                                                                                                                  June 19, 200 BCE

Dear journal,
Today was one of those days that I tell you are fantastic. Today started out great. I woke up to the wonderful sunshine and was ready for a warm day. I had plum and pear on bread we made from the wheat we grew! it tasted like nothing i had ever dreamed of. After my breakfast, i went to work. I work in a paper factory so the work is very busy. Well today the emperor came in and talked to us and complemented us on our work. I felt so accomplished getting a good job from the emperor! So when i got home i wanted to talk to family about this instantly, but i couldn't find them! I spent hours looking for them through village after village. Finally i found them at my own job! They had come to see the emperor because the knew he was going to be there. When i met up with them they seemed so sad because the emperor was congratulating the best worker and they thought that it should be me. I thought that that was very generous of them and i started crying tears of joy! When we arrived home i told them about everything that happened before they got there. My family was so happy to hear that i enjoyed my job and that i was doing well. If it wasn't for me my family would not be able to afford food. For dinner we had my famous chicken with berries and honey. It was so tasty! I was so thankful of my family today that i came here to write what a special day it was. The only one thing that was bad was since it hasn't rained in a while the roads were very dusty making it very hard to see. But that's only because it has been so hot here lately. I miss the rain. I hope the rain comes because our crops are dieing from our drought of rain
                                                                              Sincerely,

                                                                                                Andrew Blogger extraordinaire
